Been playing a bit of this game lately. For what it’s worth it’s almost a carbon copy of Call of Duty but it’s being run by the guy that help developed Modern Warfare & Infinite Warfare. I’m not that big of a Call of Duty guy myself but that’s probably why it sparked my interest to play it. It’s free 2 play. Meaning they’re going to try to get you to buy those wonderful cosmetics to keep the servers running. Don’t fall for that trap. You’re always one ban away from losing all of that.
The gameplay of it isn’t horrible but they also don’t do anything new with the genre. You run, you shoot, capture a point, and/or shoot some more. The maps seem okay but to be honest I don’t have much experience in these types of games.
One thing I do notice, as of 7/11/24 there is a lot of bugs in this game. Either I am incredibly unlucky or I get hit with these bugs every time. A few bugs I noticed is that if you use melee or an ability right before you die, your character gets soft locked for the entire game. With the melee bug you just couldn’t shoot or do anything which is extremely frustrating. Only way to free yourself from that hell was to leave the game.. If you used an ability right before you die, you couldn’t use the ability until you swapped factions.. if they’re trying to introduce ranked into this.. it will be bad.
Despite the bugs, it is still an enjoyable game. You have “Factions” that have their special abilities and a plethora of guns to use at your disposal. You have to level the guns to get attachments just like CoD which just adds to the replay value if you want to level all your guns. If you have that Call of Duty itch then it’s worth giving a shot. It’s free 🙂
